All parents and guardians of PS/IS 187 students are automatically members of the PTA. Welcome!
We look forward to sharing another wonderful year with you. Plans are already underway for Movie Nights, School-a-Palooza, The Holiday Tree Sale, The Second Annual Student Film Festival, and more.
We thank the countless volunteers who put in thousands of hours to make all of last year's events successful. As we gear up to increase our volunteer corps in 2014-15, stay tuned for the "It Takes A Village" public service announcement campaign. The PTA Executive Board thanks Michael Bridenstine, dad of 2nd grader and creative force/producer behind the project. Parent volunteer efforts contribute to our school's culture and strength of community, and we encourage all parents to find their be- the-change-you-wish-to-see moment. Our motto: If everybody does a little, nobody does a lot. Please fill out the volunteer E-Questionnaire today HERE to let us know how you would like to help.
Last, but certainly not least, we thank our entire community of parents, alumni, local businesses, and neighbors who have so generously supported all our fundraisers. Your donations are inspiring, and it helps us provide great things for our children.

We are thrilled to announce that Think Pink Week brought in over $3500, up from under $2000 last year! Quite an increase! All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. Thank you all!
